Additives break down under sustained heat. The fluid still looks fine and still circulates, but it has stopped preventing corrosion inside the radiator, heater core and water pump.
Hoses and belts go brittle
Rubber that has been cooked all summer hardens and cracks from the inside. A hose that held pressure in June can split on a 90-degree afternoon in October.
Batteries die early
Heat is what kills batteries, not cold. In Tucson two to three years is a normal life, and the failure almost always shows up in the months right after summer ends.

- Coolant condition, level and freeze point tested
- Radiator cap and full system pressure test for leaks
- Hoses, clamps and drive belts inspected for heat damage
- Water pump checked for seepage and play
- Thermostat operation and cooling fan function
- Battery load test and charging system output — included at no extra charge
- Written results with photos, sorted into urgent, soon, and fine for now
The $49 comes back to you. If you have us do the repair, we credit the full $49 toward the work.
We'll also tell you plainly what can wait. Not everything we find needs fixing today, and we'll say so.
